Alarm 5am. After coffee for Penny, two kids in PJs sniggled into back of car. Left 5:50, fuelled in Wawona (the car drinks gas & its all up & down big hills here) . Yosemite village CP 07:05. Dad set off on the
hike to Half Dome ( 07:10, got to trailhead 08:00, got to halfdome summit at 13:35, departed again 14:20. Rendezvous curry villlage CP (where should have started!) 19:00. A long day: a 15 mile hike and a height gain of 1600m - to the peak at 2696m - so all done at quite an altitude.
